We are sorry to announce that Deonie Fiford will not be hearing author pitches at Conflux 9. Deonie Fiford had resigned from HarperVoyager. Deonie said that she is very sorry to miss out on the pitching sessions.
While Deonie indicated that the new editor at HarperVoyager may be interested in hearing pitches during Conflux 9, we are unable to accommodate such an arrangement within the competition timetable. A new editor has not been announced so we have not been able to negotiate a new arrangement. As such we will only be reading entries for Marc Gascoigne’s (Angry Robot Books) pitching competition.
We will be having other non-competitive pitching opportunities at Conflux 9 and we will be announcing those closer to the time. These pitching sessions will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, with those with full memberships given preference. There will not be a competitive
element.
We are very sorry to bring you this news.
Regards
Donna and Nicole
