Pitch and get published!

Conflux 14 wants to see the next generation of writers. Dammit – we want to be involved! We want to be cheering from the sidelines, and we want to be digging people in the ribs and saying ‘I knew them when…’ at the book launch.

Conflux is again offering you the opportunity to pitch your work. On Sunday, three of the Antipodes’ brightest will be ready and waiting to hear what you can do and what you want to do.

  • Agent extraordinaire Alex Adsett
  • Publishers David Henley and Lee Murray

Conflux is so dedicated to helping you that Saturday afternoon as part of the program is a panel on pitching!

More information on the pitches is available here.

Spaces are limited so make sure you book early.

Program updated!

Our almost-final program is up on our Program page – why not have a look? It is chock full of delicious spec fic goodness, just waiting for your delectation come the end of September.

There may be a few minor tweaks between now and when our members arrive bright and early for registration at 9am on Friday, 29 September, but this should give you a good idea of what is on offer and how you’ll need to arrange your schedule.

We’re still looking for people to sit on (most) of the panels we have on offer, so if you see something you like, drop us a line at confluxchair@gmail.com and let us know you’d like to be involved (NB: to be on a panel, you’ll need to be a member of Conflux 13).

See you soon!

Draft program is up!

Our draft program is now up on our Program page. There are still a few gaps we have left to fill, and some stuff may move around between now and September. But, please, have a look & let us know if there’s anything we’ve missed you’re dying to get on the schedule.

Workshop and panellist callout!

We are very close to putting up our draft program for Conflux 13.

We’ve got a few gaps left, though, so this is your chance.

Is there a panel topic you really want to see on the program?

Do you want to volunteer to be on a panel or five?

Do you have a great idea for a guest presentation or a workshop you want to pitch to us?*

Now is the time to let us know. Please email the Conflux 13 Committee on confluxchair[at]gmail.com.

*You might get away with suggesting panel topics in the comments, but if you want to pitch a workshop or prezzo, you really need to email us.
